The second of Erica Vetsch’s Serendipity and Secret novels was released last year, but I was too caught up in other novels until now. I wish I hadn’t waited so long!
Although it could be read out of sequence, this book takes up the story of Marcus whose father and brother are both deceased, making him suddenly the Duke he never wanted to be. Worst of all, he will have to take a wife. Charlotte has been on the market for too many seasons now. It’s not just that no one wants her, she doesn’t want them. She wants to read and think independently.
In textbook dramatic irony, it is clear immediately to the reader that they ought to be together, but will this work out? You won’t be able to put this down.
FYI, Bridgerton fans, this is better.
(No disclaimers, I purchased this because I wanted to read it!)
