Daylight – a book review

I’ve been a David Baldacci fan since I discovered The Camel Club in high school. I’ve read every single book except Atlee Pine . The first Atlee Pine novel, Long Road to Mercy, was disappointing. Perhaps I had too much excitement over a female protagonist, but she fell flat for me. The story was intricate, and ensnared me enough to make me finish, but I didn’t love it, so I didn’t read book 2.

NetGalley and the publisher recently gave me the opportunity to read book 3, Daylight, and offer my opinion. I liked it better than book 1, but Atlee’s characterisation still isn’t working for me. I just really struggle to find her believable. In good news, I didn’t miss too much in the second book. Despite my misgivings, I still got hooked on the storyline and couldn’t put it down. Really not sure if I’ll read the next book when it comes out or not. I do kind of want to know what happens re Mercy, but maybe I can just google it?
